Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a fun colorful book that introduces the alphabet in a rhyming sing song way. This class focuses on alphabet recognition, numbers 1-50 recognition, beginning writing skills, can write name without dots through mirroring techniques, can follow 5 step directions, potty trained, can zip & button, can cut fine designs, sequencing, before/after, number concepts, science and holiday themes, lots of arts and crafts, and beginning reading sounds.
We are setting up for a head start program that is designed to get the kids ready for Kindergarten. I believe this age has the greatest potential for learning when the activities are introduced in a fun & stimulating way to capture the imagination of the Pre-School mind.
Never underestimate the abilities of these kids and what they can learn! I have seen wonderful things come from my Pre-School classes!
At RN we find fun ways to expose the kids to the alphabet and numbers as seen here with "alphabet bingo".
Pre-K children are encouraged to follow directions as well as explore nature. Seen here we are collecting bugs!
Communication is a big part of the Pre-K environment. We make sure to give the kids ample time to discuss "important business" during the Christmas season
Holiday and seasonal activities like leaf painting are ways we decorate RN to look festive for the season.
